Group C Breakdown - 2026 FIFA World Cup
If you’re picking a group that could deliver some of the best games early in the tournament, Group C is definitely one to watch. It has a little bit of everything—big-name power, recent World Cup success, a long-awaited return, and a true underdog story.
Who’s in Group C?
Brazil
Morocco
Scotland
Haiti
At first glance, it looks like Brazil’s group to lose—but dig a little deeper, and this could get really interesting.
Brazil – Still the Team to Beat

Let’s be honest—whenever Brazil shows up, they’re expected to dominate.
They’re five-time world champions and one of the most talented squads in the tournament every single time.
Even if they haven’t looked perfect lately, they still have more than enough quality to control this group. If they play to their level, first place should be theirs.
Morocco – Not Underdogs Anymore

Morocco isn’t sneaking up on anyone this time.
After their historic run to the 2022 World Cup semifinals, they’ve proven they can compete with anyone in the world.
They’re strong defensively, super organized, and dangerous on the counter. That’s a nightmare matchup for most teams—including Brazil.
Don’t be surprised if they push for first place.
Scotland – Tough and Hard to Break Down
Scotland is finally back at the World Cup for the first time since 1998, which is a huge moment for them.
They’re not flashy, but that’s kind of their strength. They’re physical, disciplined, and built to grind out results.
In a tight group like this, that style could be enough to grab key points.
Haiti – Nothing to Lose

Haiti might be the underdog, but they’re also one of the best stories in the tournament.
This is their first World Cup since 1974, so just being here is massive.
That said, they’ve already shown they can surprise people by getting through qualifying.
They play with energy and freedom—which can be dangerous.
Games to Watch
Brazil vs Morocco – Easily the biggest matchup in the group
Scotland vs Morocco – Could decide who gets second
Brazil vs Scotland – Final game, could still matter for rankings
With the new format, even finishing third might be enough to move on—so every game counts.
Quick Prediction
Here’s how it might shake out:
Brazil
Morocco
Scotland
Haiti
Scotland has a real shot at second if things break their way, but Morocco still feels like the stronger team right now.
Final Thoughts
Group C has a great mix—one of the biggest teams in the world, a rising powerhouse, a scrappy returner, and a fearless underdog.
Brazil brings the spotlight, but Morocco and Scotland are right there ready to shake things up.
Don’t be surprised if this group ends up being one of the most entertaining in the entire tournament.
