The 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinals feature a lineup of the world's top four ranked teams: France vs. Spain on July 14, and England vs. Argentina on July 15.
How the Teams Got Here:
France: The tournament favorites defeated Morocco 2-0 in the quarterfinals, spearheaded by a lethal attack featuring Kylian Mbappé.
Spain: Remained flawless by edging out Belgium 2-1 in their quarterfinal meeting. Mikel Merino once again scored the winner for Spain.
England: Outlasted Norway in a grueling 2-1 extra-time battle, propelled by two massive goals from Jude Bellingham.
Argentina: The reigning world champions also went the distance, taking down Switzerland 3-1 in extra time after Julian Álvarez broke the deadlock. Once again Argentina found a way to advance in controversial fashion.
The winners of these two matches will advance to the World Cup Final on Sunday, July 19, held at MetLife Stadium (New York/New Jersey).
