Ecuador defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 in New Jersey. La Tri took the lead in the first half with a header from Jackson Porozo off a John Yeboah free kick. In the second half, Anthony Valencia extended the lead to 2-0 with an exquisite outside-of-the-foot finish after linking up with Yeboah. Near the end, Sultan Ahmed Mandash scored the consolation goal for the Saudis with a crossed shot that Moisés Ramírez couldn't fully deflect.
