Red Bulls to Honor BWP May 2nd

I did this on a whim, I've never written before and was never really that type of guy, but now with a website, I’ll dabble in it a little bit.
May 2 2026 Bradley Wright-Philips is being inducted onto “Legends Row” at Sports Illustrated Stadium. It couldn’t have happened to a better person.
The guy isn’t my best friend. He probably doesn’t even know me by name - although he might know our Instagram handle, lol, but I’ll always support him and anything he does, because he was one of the first to give us a shot.
If you don’t know what I mean: Talking to players is always tough, PR teams, the MLS, their agents, and most importantly scheduling conflicts can make requests for interviews difficult. However, after that’s all said and done, the athlete still has to say yes.
We made a request for BWP and got word back from Red Bulls PR person - BWP said YES! We didn’t have the followers. We were still getting our feet wet, so a yes felt like a YEEEEEESSSS.
The day comes, we have our interview, and he’s absolute class, just like he was on the field. A few things stuck with me from that day.
We talked about being a dad, which I am too, and I asked two questions:
1. Would you trade one of your Golden Boots for a trophy? He said he would have without any hesitation.
2. I asked about how he got the number 99. I told him the only 99 I knew was Wayne Gretzky.
At the end of the day, to the day of that interview #99 was a team player, and at Sports Illustrated Stadium on May 2nd vs Dallas, he’s receiving his overdue flowers.
