Group H Breakdown – 2026 FIFA World Cup

Now THIS is a fun group.

Group H has “group of death vibes” written all over it—two legit heavyweights plus two teams that could easily shake things up.

Who’s in Group H?

  • Spain

  • Uruguay

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Cape Verde

You’ve got Europe, South America, Asia, and Africa all in one group—and every team brings a different style.

Spain – One of the Favorites to Win It All

Spain isn’t just trying to get out of the group—they’re trying to win the whole thing.

They are coming in as one of the top-ranked teams and recent European champions, with a young, loaded squad.

Players like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Rodri give them insane midfield control and attacking creativity.

If they play to their level, they should win this group comfortably.

Uruguay – Experienced + Dangerous

Uruguay is the main challenger.

They have a mix of experience and new talent, with players like Federico Valverde and Darwin Núñez leading the way.

They might not be favorites to win the tournament, but they’re definitely the kind of team that can beat anyone on their day.

Their game vs Spain could be one of the best matches of the group stage.

Saudi Arabia – Don’t Forget 2022

Saudi Arabia might not look scary on paper—but they’ve already proven they can shock the world.

Remember, they beat Argentina at the last World Cup—one of the biggest upsets ever.

They are disciplined, organized, and dangerous when teams underestimate them.

If they steal a result early, they could seriously mess up the group.

Cape Verde – First-Time Energy

Cape Verde is making their first-ever World Cup appearance, which is huge.

They are the clear underdog, but that almost makes them dangerous—no pressure, nothing to lose.

They have already shown they can compete by qualifying out of a tough African region.

Games to Watch

  • Spain vs Uruguay – Easily one of the biggest games in the entire group stage

  • Saudi Arabia vs Uruguay – Could decide second place early

  • Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia – Sneaky important for third place

And remember, third place can still qualify—so even the underdogs are alive.

Quick Prediction

Here’s how it should play out:

1.    Spain

  1. Uruguay

  2. Saudi Arabia

  3. Cape Verde

Saudi Arabia could absolutely grab that third-place spot and sneak through depending on results.

Final Thoughts

Group H is all about levels.

Spain is elite and should control things. Uruguay is right there behind them. But Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde both have enough to make things uncomfortable.

If Spain slips—or Uruguay starts slow—this group could get chaotic fast.
