The New England Revolution grabbed a dramatic 2-1 victory over New York City FC on Wednesday night, September 9, 2026, thanks to a stoppage-time game-winner at Citi Field. The win continues New England's hot road form, while extending NYCFC’s frustrating league winless skid to seven consecutive games. 

The New York Cosmos put in a dominant display for a 4-2 win over Fort Wayne FC at Ruoff Mortgage Stadium as Lamin Jawneh recorded a brace with Jordan Chevez and Sebastián Guenzatti also striking for the visitors as Ryan Becher and Clarence Awoudor scored for the hosts.

Aboubacar Camara fired home the winner with eight minutes remaining after Diego Gonzalez opened the scoring from the penalty spot as Portland Hearts of Pine claimed a 2-1 victory over Westchester SC at Fitzpatrick Stadium with Charlie Dickerson scoring his first professional for the visitors.

A team who, in 1975, brought in one of the biggest stars in world sports in an attempt to bring the world’s most popular game to the world’s most popular city. Their name: the New York Cosmos. Their aim: to make soccer the number one sport in all of America. It would prove to be however, that the rise “the most glamorous team in world football” would be met by an equally sharp and dramatic decline. This is the story of the New York Cosmos.

Steve and Kevin decided to take a trip out to the Bronx, Yankee Stadium to be exact, to experience the away game atmosphere at the New York Derby, Hudson River Derby, whatever you want to call it. RBNY were defeated 0-2, nonetheless, a great day for soccer

The documentary film follows fans of the New York Red Bulls and the first year New York City Football Club as the Hudson River Derby is born. The short is a behind the scenes look at the key supporters as they gear up for the first ever derby season and shows first hand the fanaticism and friction as it unfolds.

On one night, in the crucible of the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup , the past and the present would collide. A winner-take-all derby between the Cosmos and NYCFC that would determine who truly owned the bragging rights of the Big Apple
